Lazy Weekend....

Well maybe lazy for the kids considering we didn't really go anywhere but never a full lazy day for me! I have to cook breakfast for everyone, then clean up, cook lunch, clean up, cook dinner, clean up lol, and this doesn't even include laundry, dusting etc; but the weekend was pretty nice. Friday night mom watched the kids so Warren and I went grocery shopping and then just stayed home and relaxed, I cleaned house and did laundry on commercials and between myspace and facebook lol. Warren just kinda hungout helping occasionally, it was nice though we really enjoyed the quality time and I was able to catch up on some housework. Mom brought the kids home pretty early saturday morning, we had already planned to take the kids to the park in Montevallo to have a picnic, so we packed up our lunchables, snacks and drinks and headed out but our adventure ended quickly when it began to rain, we were all so disappointed but we decided on plan b which would be a picnic on the living room floor, so we laid out the blanket, enjoyed our lunch and watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua movie and it is so good we really liked, I thought it was going to be really girly but it actually had a good story line. After the movie the little boys had nap and Tristan went outside to play with his friends, Warren and I cleaned up and started dinner prep, since we had a big menu, we made up the meatloaf, started the cabbage, later on that night we cooked mashed potatoes, fried green tomatoes and cornbread. It was so delicious and we were all completely full! After dinner we cleaned up and the kids got baths and watched a movie. Sunday morning(this morning) did not go near our plan, we had planned to go to church but we woke up late and since we have to drive so far to church we knew there was no way we would be able to make it on time considering I forgot to iron church clothes last night. So anyway things just did not go as we had planned it to but we did enjoy just being around the house, I cooked and cleaned all day as usually and even shampooed carpets, Warren watched movies most of the day with a few gentle words of kindness and offered his hands a few times lol, Tristan played outside most of the day and was distraught when he had to come in lol, Braydon pretty much hung on to my leg all day, getting into everything and messing up as I cleaned up, Jaxon and Zander played video games most of the day went they weren't wrestling and telling on each other, Lucas hungout with Warren most of the day, trying to get whatever he can, he is eating alot of baby food now and is really spoiled, he wants someone to hold him most of the time but he is a sweet baby. After dinner we cleaned up again...and the kids got baths and are now relaxing in their beds either alseep or watching tv. Warren and I chillin in the living room. Its been a nice weekend, I wish it would last longer..hope you all had a good weekend!

Dentist visit...

The kids go to the medplex pediatric dentistry in Hoover off of Valley Dale Rd. I love it there and so do all the kids, they are so fast and the kids get prizes, get to play games and get new tooth brushes, so anyway we had a appointment yesterday at 9am, I don't know what made me make such a early morning appointment with 3 kids but we made it finally! The kids had a great visit, it was Warren's first time to go back with the kids and he was so excited, he was like why didn't we have dentist like this when we were kids? I mean they have tv on the ceiling so when the kids are laying down they can watch tv, they have a big xbox so you can play video games, they give the kids coins to buy little toys out of machines and they also have all kinds of toys laid around to play with, they all got to go at the same time since they have 3 little chairs in the room, Jaxon picked the blue chair, Zander the green one and Braydon the red one, they love to play with the water piece and love giving the women hugs and smiles, everyone is always bragging on how handsome they are and Warren even dressed them in the t-shirts the dentist gave them so the staff was real excited about that, we had a great visit and the kids had a really good time. After the dentist we stopped and had breakfast/lunch at sonic and the kids really enjoyed, we then came home and dropped the kids off with mom and we went to work, after work we played with them outside and had a great afternoon. I forgot to take my camera with us to the dentist but I did get a few pics of the kids after bath time with there new toothbrushes, I will post them soon!

Happy Easter...

We got up this morning and we baked a bunny cake and green bean casserole for church. Warren cooked breakfast, it was really good, bacon, egg and cheese biscuits and hashbrowns. Jaxon and Zander were still at Curtis's house so we decided to let the Easter bunny come after church since the other boys were going to meet us there. We got Lucas and Brady ready for church, and Tristan got ready also, then we loaded up the truck and headed to church. We got to church a little early so we waited outside for Jaxon and Zander , so while we were waiting we snapped a few shots, which I will share with you my favorites, service was really good, we put on a play with the children and I was the MC today, I also sang with the youth choir, Warren and Tristan both lead songs for the youth choir today and we had several visitors, after service we all had lunch in the fellowship hall, Warren's mom made her famous dressing and it was delicious as always, Warren's sister was also down from Georgia with her daughter. We had a great lunch as always. Thanks Big Moma and Big Daddy.

After church Warren had to pick up the bike since he left it at Bonnie's house last night, so the boys and I rode home together and Warren rode his bike, we had a good plan set up and it worked out perfect. Warren would head straight home and set out the Easter buuny stuff since we weren't able to do it this morning because Jaxon and Zander weren't home but the boys and I would take the back roads home which takes a little longer and I drove kinda slow and we just enjoyed the scenery, when we got home the Easter bunny had came yah...the kids were super excited considering they got 3 baskets each by the end of the day...talk about sugar rush! We let them indulge a little candy and then we let them play outside. They really had a great time, we had dinner and now we are just hanging out watching movies, Tristan is out of school tomorrow so he we will be allowed to stay up a little later to play video games with Jaxon, the boys have been really good tonight I guess they were wore out from all the playing and eating, Hope you all had a Happy Easter!

Bon Fire...

My mom with her gifts...

After the races we went to a party my mom and her new husband Dc were having, when we arrived I got to visit with alot of my family that I don't see very much, Aunt Darlene and Uncle Doy were there, I love you guys and all the shoes fit and I love them, I wore a pair to church today...thanks again. Uncle Bo was there with his new girlfriend which I still haven't had a chance to properly introduce myself to her how rude am I, my nephew Logan, who I call Loggy Bear was there and he has gotten so big and he is just adorable, I love that kid! Well anyway since Warren hadn't arrived yet he missed all the reunions, but he did arrive later, he brought Bonnie his cousin and good friend of ours there and I had brought a friend of mine Kim, we are trying to hook them up you know so anyway we all hung out around the fire, talked, had a couple of drinks and a really great time!

I love all the faces in this pic...

MotorSpeed Way Montgomery, Al

As most of you know Warren is really into street bikes now, and most of his friends have them and they all ride as much as possible but usually limited to maybe one day a week if that much, because like us most of his friends also work so it is hard for them all to get together to ride. So about two weeks ago we started hearing advertisements about a race which would include cars, bikes etc; so we all decided to go. We had tents set up, grills going with plenty of food and we had a great time. None of us knew anyone racing but it was a blast watching the races. We will definitely go back and hopefully next time take the boys, they will love it!

Prayer Request:

My sister April is having surgery Friday morning, well this morning I can't sleep, I am so worried I may over sleep and want be able to make it to the hospital to see her before she goes in, but anyway I would really appreciate it if everyone could say alittle prayer for her she has been in alot of pain and the doctor says she has alot of blood built up in her lower abdomen and from what I understand they have not figured out what is causing it so please keep my sister in your prayers this weekend and our family would be very thankful. She is a mother to one 7 year old little boy, Logan and he is her world, so we need a full recovery for her. We love you April!

Please keep the Dennis family in your prayers also, they lost their grandmother today and I am they sure are having a hard time dealing with it, this is a family that lives at one of the properties we manage and they are also from Clanton, my hometown.

Please keep Shonda Hudson Yates in your prayers also, she lost her 15 year old sister to suicide in March and now her mom to a heart attack, she has been through alot and is having a hard time dealing with it all at once.

Please keep my little cousin Breanna in your prayers also, she just had a 8lb little girl. Miss Karlee LaShay, she is doing good but since she is so young I feel she is going to need alot of support and prayers. Her mom cannot be with her at this time and I know that is hard for the both of them and we hope she will be home soon but in the meantime her grandmother and aunt will be helping her and I know that has to be a life changing selfless compromise they are making on their part but it will be hard adjusting so please just say alittle prayer for them.

Also please keep our whole family in your prayers, we are still dealing with the loss of our uncle. This has been one of the hardest deaths I have had to deal with in my adulthood and it is still hard today coping with the fact that he is gone, even though we know he is in a better place, he is missed so much and our lives will never be the same, I know I will see him again oneday and I pray everyday I am making him proud of his favorite niece..lol..maybe none of the others nieces will read this..I love you uncle smokey RIP.

I am sure I have left someone out and if so I am very sorry, I will try and keep you posted on everyone and their progress.

Your prayers will be greatly appreciated...love Nicole

Hot wheels for dinner...lol

Braydon and Lucas went to visit with my mom this week since the other boys were visiting with Warren' parents and it had been a pretty nice and peaceful few days but we missed them dearly, of course when mom brought them home Braydon had to give us a big welcome, so I had to let you guys in on his plan for dinner. It was Wednesday and most days that we attend church, we all try and pitch in to bring something for dinner, lunch or a snack whatever the case maybe, on this night we had decided to let the kids cook homemade pizza and a cake to take and share with the members. Since mom is getting married this week, she has been busy so we gave her the rest of the week off to get prepared, so Warren has been taking over the housework and taking care of the kids while I work, so anyway he was getting everything ready to cook the cake and the pizzas, so he preheated the oven and soon started to smell something odd so he goes in the kitchen and opens the oven and noticed a pan inside, so he thought maybe I had put it in there but when he pulled it out, there they were four little melted hot wheels, I guess Braydon thought we could eat those for dinner, lol. It was so funny to me because he had only been home for a few minutes and already had found a way to destroy something, he is our little wild man but we love him more than he will ever know, he is so sweet and is always wanting mommy to give him a hug and he always tells me he loves me, I really have been blessed with 5 of the sweetest children ever...I love you boys! Hope you enjoy the picture!

Family Time...

We have had a really great weekend. Friday night we all went out to eat at Captain D's, It is so funny when we go anywhere, I mean seriously funny. Everyone just stares at us with these eyes like they don't know whether to speak to the children because they are all just so adorably cute or stick there noise up and pretend they are not interested in our lives, knowing they wanna know... are those two twins? how close are they in age? are you still trying for a girl? or maybe they just don't care to see a black man and woman together. Whatever there reason they still have that stare written across there face and its absolutely hilarious! Zander and Brady are not at all shy, I mean they talk to everyone who walks by, Lucas got alot of attention too, he was sitting in his car seat playing with his toys so they couldn't see him so I am not sure if they really wanted to play with him or if they were just curious did they finally get a girl?..lol..no its another boy! After dinner we all came home, relaxed and watch Marley and Me. It is a great movie but the ending is really sad but all in all I loved the movie and so did Warren and the kids. Before bed we had a snack and dyed eggs, the kids really enjoyed it and it really got them in the Easter spirit, they couldn't wait to the next morning for the egg hunt. Saturday Warren and I had to get up early to prepare for the egg hunt, we baked the cake, made lemonade, getting the food ready and making prize eggs. The Easter egg hunt started at 12am, so we started setting up around 11, Jan a friend of ours came up and helped with the kids until we were ready, so after the egg hunt we came home and did some serious relaxing, we were all tired and of course I was sun burned. We watched tv and ordered pizza. It was a great night. Today has been a great day also, we kinda laid around this morning and were kinda lazy it was raining and it made for a good excuse lol. Around lunch time we started moving around, we all ate lunch got dressed and loaded up the car. We went to my mom's bridal shower, yes my mom is getting married this Friday I am so happy for her. She got lots of beautiful gifts and looked really happy, My favorite teacher from high school was there Mrs. Smitherman I love that woman and it was so good seeing her. We went to Warren's parents to visit. Zander and Jaxon are staying for a few days to visit with Big Daddy and Big Moma, so Warren, Tristan, Brady, Lucas and I all head home for a little peace and quiet I know it still sounds like alot of kids but when you are use to having 5 boys when even one of them is gone the house gets quiet, I don't know why, I guess they just miss them when they are gone so they are quiet. When we got home Tristan and Brady went outside to play and I started cleaning up and getting ready for the work week, we had a good night and its has been a great weekend! Here is a few pics...hope you enjoy!

Easter Egg Hunt

We had our Annual Easter Egg Hunt for the children that live at the properties we manage. Warren grilled hot dogs, we had chips, lemonade, drinks and I made a bunny cake which I thought turned out really cute. We had a egg race, played Simon says, red light green light, red rover, twister and baseball. We had a really nice egg hunt and the kids won lots of prizes. Tristan and all his friends really had a great time. Jaxon loved playing with the bigger kids too. Zander loved drawing with the sidewalk chalk, Brady loved playing with all the bubble making machines and Lucas was the ladies man as usually so he enjoyed being past along from one woman to another. We all had a really great time and I am a thankful that we had a bigger turnout from last year. It seems like each year every event gets bigger and bigger and I love being part of it all. Happy Easter...hope you enjoy the pics!
