Monday Madness....

So things didn't go as I had planned last night, there was no sleep for me. Lucas was up and down all night, thankfully we have a spare bed in the nursery because that is where I spent the night and early morning hours, I am pretty sure we are in our first stages of teething oh what a joy. I think we finally fell asleep at 6am, Warren got Tristan up and off to school. My dearest Mother and her loud mouth woke me up this morning lol, I love Mamie...So anyway Me and Warren get up and get ready to head to the office, as we arrive we have people calling like crazy so Warren gets busy quick and I was actually caught up on everything and had nothing to do so I organized a few things, played online and finally decided to go check out the new school the boys will attend this year Jaxon, Zander and Braydon hopefully will attend a preschool her in Columbiana which is only about a mile from my office and right behind the Elementary school where Tristan goes, they are so excited and so am I, Braydon keeps asking for a backpack, Jaxon keeps saying "but mom I'm not 5 yet" and Zander just laughs when you talk about him going to school so I think its going to be really good for the boys, I mean they are all very smart so I think it will only help them become better students and make them even smarter. We then come home for lunch and we finally talk mom into giving us a break, she agrees to keep the kids for a couple of days so we can rest yah! She has to go and play bingo tonight but wants us to bring the boys after so they can sleep in in the morning and then stay home and play outside all day, so she packs her car with some of their stuff and we pack the rest in the truck. After we get off work, we took the kids for a short walk because it was alot colder than I thought so we didn't stay out very long. We cooked dinner, gave them their baths, put their pajamas on and we hung out and watched tv, around 8pm we bundled up the kids and loaded up in the truck and headed to Clanton to moma's house, we get their alittle early so we all get in moma's bed and start watching Air Buds and when moma got their me, Warren and Tristan headed home, its was a nice and quiet ride back home so when we got here everyone was like okay good night, so now me and Warren are watching a movie and of course I am online, well its time for bed so thanks again Aunt Darlene for Lucas's new sweater and we love you! night night....

Madea goes to jail.....lol

So I know I haven't wrote in awhile but I have been extremely busy. I finally got caught up at work this week, I even had time decorate early for St. Patty's Day! So anyway we have had a really great weekend. Friday night we took the kids to see Madea goes to jail, I know but they love Madea and have been asking everyday to go and see it, Jaxon kept saying mommy why are they taking Madea to jail? and I can't watch no more and are they going to let her out? through the whole movie, well we got there alittle early so Warren, me and the kids play some video games, the kids loved the motorcycle racing game and air hockey, we all enjoyed ourselves, so after the movie we go out to dinner and then head home. Me and Warren put the kids to bed and then relaxed alittle, Saturday morning came and I had alot to do, cooking, making gifts and favors for Breanna's baby shower, me and Warren go grocery shopping and then back home to finish up cooking, Warren's mom comes up for the shoot out in Columbiana which was a fake bank robbery western shoot out thing that was pretty short and crowded, we then head back home pack up the car and leave for the shower, I drop Warren off at a friends house to hang out and I head to the shower, we played games, ate and then Breanna opened gifts, she got alot of nice stuff and everything was very nice and beautiful. I pick Warren back up and we go to the new Milo's in Calera for dinner we take it back home and everyone enjoys dinner together, the kids then get ready for bed and warren and I are able to relax, this morning when we got up I cooked pancakes for the kids which they loved, we then clean house, go grocery shopping and let the kids play outside for awhile. Me and Warren cooked a nice dinner for the kids tonight, gave everyone a bath and are now relaxing watching a movie in silence lol, well its back to work tomorrow oh what joy, I sure wish I was born into a rich family and could be lazy sometimes lol just kidding what kinda of life would that be yeah right it would be great haha well love you guys hope this caught you up on our busy days!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Okay so we have had a pretty nice weekend so far, last night me and Warren went and saw friday the 13th, which was pretty scary and definitely rated R, which was very disturbing considering there were more children in the theater than adults and there would have been no way my children would have ever seen that movie. So we came in last night and relaxed, we had two over night sitters which was very nice considering Lucas has been sick all week and he is finally getting better so me and Warren were able to get a break. This morning Warren got up and fixed breakfast for us all which was really good. The kids got there Valentine gifts from mom and dad, candy and a cute little stuffed dog, I put Lucas's cute little rock ryler on his lap and he was just smiling at it and trying to knock it over, it was so cute, I am so glad he is finally starting to feel better, we get ready and then we head out for another movie, we get there alittle early so we play air hockey, Warren beat me twice, he wouldn't even let me win on Valentine's Day, so competitive lol. April, Mom and Aunt Brenda finally arrive for our Valentine's Day girly movie day, we saw confessions of a shopaholic, which was really sweet. Its Aunt Brenda's first Valentine's Day since my uncle Smokey past, she was in good spirits but you could tell she was hurting, she grabbed my arm during the movie and just hugged me, god knows we all loved that man and miss him very much, so anyway Warren saw Push, he said it was okay, his movie was over alittle later than ours so we hit Old Navy and Books a million, talk about shopaholics...lol well April anyway. When Warren's movie was over he picks me up and we head home, we get home and start doing some cleaning and laundry. Warren puts some meat on the grill and we enjoy a good dinner with the family. We then settle in and watch some tv and of course I get online. He is now sleeping and I think its time I join him the weekend is literally flying by and I still have plenty to do so I better get some rest, hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day! Love you all...

Getting back to normal....

So we have had a very hectic week, I start it off getting out of the hospital. So I am suppose to be off work this week, but my work day is never over I have people calling me, coming by my house and the never ending messages to return. I have been home just about all week trying to get well and then the baby Lucas gets sick last night so we are at the hospital all night and we are on our way home and he starts coughing, so it was dark and I flip the visor down so the light will shine on him and I can watch him why I drive us home, since we were all alone, Warren had to stay home with the other boys, so as soon as I flip the visor down the car next to me slams on their brakes and jumps behind me of course my luck its a state trooper and I guess when I flipped the visor light on he assumed I was doing something illegal so he starts shining his bright spot light all in my eyes and all in the car, I hold my arms up like he asks and he checks my id and I explain to him what I was doing and so he lets me go so we get home around 1am and just as we figured we had a long night a head of us, Lucas was up and down all night coughing and we were doing all we could to keep him comfortable. We had the humidifier going and we had pedialite going by the bottles to keep him from dehydrating so we made it through the night and I go into the office for about an hour this morning to catch up on some paperwork, I then come home and snuggle up to Lucas for a quick nap, mom was here helping get the house back in order and catching up on the laundry thank goodness..
So she leaves around 2pm, the next helper arrives around 3pm to sit with Lucas so I could clean up the upstairs, I get that done and then its dinner time, Warren insists on trying out the new Italian Restaurant for the third time I do believe we have gave them a fair shot to get it right but it just gets worse every time I mean I know how convenient it is that the biracial family sits and waits 30 minutes to be waited on, why couldn't it have been the white couple next to us, I just don't know but it was diffidently not good service for our first visit and then Warren takes the boys there for lunch on Wednesday and he said they charged him full price for the buffet for two 3 year old I mean come on they may eat what one slice and then he said there was no more pizza for him to eat for at least 30 minutes, so why he wanted to eat there again I don't know but we do and this time we order pasta for ourselves and pizza for the boys, lets just put it this way we have earned the right to judge and we have decided to stick with pizza only and we will pick it up and bring it home but you have to wait at least an extra 30 minutes before you leave the house because all they have working there is a bunch of preppy kids that have never worked a day in there life let me tell you, okay enough talk about Little Italy but they suck...so we finally finish dinner after we realize we have no garlic bread for our frozen straight out of the box pasta which was horrible but anyway we work on the laundry and the boys practice their abc's thanks to the teacher Mr. Tristan who is very generous when grading papers and thankfully sends my children home with all A's. lol Well anyway we have now we have finally made it to bedtime snack thank goodness..so the choice is rice krispie treats or chez its of course who ever choice rice krispie treats now wants chez its, don't you just love children..bedtime for babies now..and quiet time for mommy and daddy, so anyway to end this blog we have been very busy and have had a very hectic week and I only pray that this weekend brings our family time to get back on track and get our lives back to normal, We are doing a full house and car cleaning with plenty of lysol to kill the ever so deadly bug we are passing back and forth and hopefully be able to start a fresh week of a clean house and no more sick babies. Keep us in your prayers..

Hospital Stay

So I went in the hospital friday morning for out patient surgery to have my Gaul bladder removed. I go back for surgery around 7am and leave to go home about noon, I got home but all I was doing was throwing up everything from food to water and even my pain meds so I was in alot of pain and we could not get it under control so about midnight friday night Warren took me to Shelby where they did xrays and another cat scan to find out I have phenumonia in both lungs and have infection in the surgery area and that one of the Gaul stones had escaped into my small intestines. So thats why I was so uncomfortable but anyway about 9am Shelby tranfers us back to Brookwood and we were considered a direct admission and we already had our room number and everything. We had a really nice nurse but they would not let me eat or drink anything all day till about 9pm last night one nurse gave me apple juice, I thought I was going to starve to death.lol but anyway finally around 11am this morning the doctor allowed me to eat, I was so happy Warren ran down stairs and got me some lunch, it was pretty nasty but I was just happy to eat and also be able to hold food down so I could be released to come home. I was finally released around 2pm, Brenda was already at the house with Tristan and Lucas so mom brought the other kids home so when we got there we had a wonderful welcome, Tristan had even baked us a cake. So we are now just relaxing Warren ordered pizza and we are just enjoying being home! Thanks for all the prayers...The Tyus Family

Mommy & Braydon

Since I got my new laptop Braydon is always trying to play with it so we bought him the vtech laptop for his birthday. Warren caught a pic of us working and I thought it was to cute not to share. Hope you enjoy....

Doctor Visit....

So Warren and I go to see the surgeon this morning to discuss the surgery. He was running late so it took 1 hour and 45 minutes for us to get to the back but when we finally did it went pretty fast, he explained the procedure and the reason its best to remove it so anyway I go for my blood work tomorrow and the surgery is Thursday. So I am very nervous about having the surgery done I had the DNC done last January and it wasn't that bad but this is alittle more complicated I mean they are removing a organ from my body..Anyway so now I am trying to stay busy and not think about it. I have alot to do to get ready for Thursday. I have to make sure the house is organized so all my helpers can keep it up, pack for Zander since he is going to Big Momma and Big Daddy's house for the weekend and also stay on top of my office work, I am suppose to be off until next Monday but I just can't sit back and do nothing so I just continue to do my work and continue to get paid lol. Anyway I guess thats it for now I have plenty to do but wanted to update you all about my surgery.

Jaxon makes the front page of the Shelby Reporter

Jackson Griffith of Columbiana drives toward the basket inside Columbiana United Methodist Church. Each of Griffith’s shots and those of the other eight kids involved represented a child orphaned because of their parents dying from AIDS.
Kids shoot hoops, raise money for orphans

COLUMBIANA — Kerry Satterwhite threw orange T-shirts to the eight enthusiastic kids practicing free throw shots at Columbiana United Methodist Church Saturday.

All of the kids were there with the same goals in mind — shoot 2,057 free throw shots for Hoops for Hope and have fun doing it.

Hoops for Hope is an organization that provides medical care to orphaned kids in Africa. Satterwhite said he saw a commercial for the organization during last year’s March Madness and felt like he could do something here in Shelby County.

“It was just that I realized how blessed I was to have the parents I had and the family I had,” Satterwhite said. “Most of the kids we are trying to help have no one.”

He knew that he could at least make a small impact by calling up a few friends.

By doing just that, Satterwhite and friends collected just over their $1,000 goal.

That money will go toward constructing a medical facility in Zambia. The facility will provide caregiver kits and bicycles for caregivers to travel through villages.

“We really hope people find out about what we are doing and want to get involved,” Satterwhite said. “Maybe next year this will grow even bigger.”

This is the actually newspaper clip and if you look close you will also see Tristan in the background waiting in line to shoot hoops, the beautiful SINGLE blonde you see with Jaxon is my wonderful best friend Jessica.
